Sarah Hudson is a female topliner/vocal producer best known for co-writing Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse ft. Juicy J”. Sarah also co-wrote nine songs on Katy Perry’s Witness, including her single “Swish Swish”. Other cuts include current Alternative hit “Good Things Fall Apart ft. Jon Bellion” by Illenium, “Something’s Gotta Give” by Camila Cabello, “Black Widow ft. Rita Ora” by Iggy Azalea, “Two F*cks” by Adam Lambert and “Get On Your Knees (Beg For It) ft. Ariana Grande” by Nicki Minaj. She also has cuts with Justin Bieber (“The Feeling ft. Halsey”), 5 Seconds of Summer (“San Francisco”), Years & Years (“Palo Santo” & “Karma”), Idina Menzel (“Queen of Swords”), Santigold (“Banshee”), The Neighbourhood (“Dust”, “Heaven”, & “Blue”), Charli XCX (“Baby Girl”), and New Kids on the Block (“Thankful”). A diverse songwriter with a unique approach to several different genres, Sarah is known for her unique signature concepts, edgy & prolific lyrics, and catchy pop melodies. Most recently, she has penned much of recent Dua Lipa album Future Nostalgia, including the hit-singles “Physical” & “Levitating” including remix “Levitating feat. Madonna and Missy Elliot [The Blessed Madonna Remix]”. Sarah has several Katy Perry songs in the works for her upcoming album Smile and continues to work with both established and up-and-coming artists. Sarah understands the mind of the artist and is not afraid to be different and daring in her approach to songwriting. She uses her experiences in life, love, and music to bring a new, fresh, and unique perspective to every song she writes.
Hudson began singing, writing and training professionally at the age of 3. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA into a family of artists, poets, dancers and free spirits. As a teenager, Hudson did extensive guest and background vocal work for many established pop artists and began her own ventures in the music industry by the age of 18. Sarah landed a solo record deal with S-Curve/EMI records in 2005, but before her debut album, Naked Truth, was officially released, the label folded and she was dropped. Collaborators included Desmond Child, Eric Bazilian, Mark Hudson, Billy Mann, Ozzy Osbourne and Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler. After this heartbreaking but cathartic experience, Hudson set off to take her career into her own hands and formed an underground electro club pop project called Ultraviolet Sound. The group, also known as UVS, toured extensively in the US/UK and released two full length albums. They had the #1 release at Top 40 radio from an independent label in 2011. In early 2012, UVS parted ways and Sarah set off on her journey to write hits for other top artists. Sarah has been featured and has co-written on multiple EDM records such as “Fuzzy Peach” by Brillz, “Saturn” by Kill The Noise/Brillz, “Can’t Get Enough” by Tommie Sunshine/Halfway House, and “Reality” by Bro Safari. In 2017, she released her solo EP and accompanying short film entitled Songs from the Sea. She also co-hosts “Right to the Source,” a podcast about the creative process and spiritual journey of writing music.
