Joshua Faulkner
Joshua Faulkner is a producer, mixer, engineer, and songwriter originally from London and now based in New York City. His fingerprints can be found across some of contemporary music’s most influential and forward thinking records, with collaborators including Skepta, Jorja Smith, Future, Gunna, Lauryn Hill, YG Marley, Saint JHN, Obongjayar, Seyi Vibez, Octavian, Madonna, and Wizkid.
Faulkner began making music at 14 in London, where his early studio foundations were shaped through friendship and extensive time working alongside Burial. That period helped define his approach to sound as atmosphere, texture, and world-building, with a visual-led mindset that treats records like scenes rather than formulas. After cutting his teeth in the UK underground scene and serving as an in-house producer at Universal Music, Josh built a distinct lane across Afrobeat, rap, alternative, electronic and left-of-centre R&B, while remaining highly versatile across rap, pop, Afrobeat, and K-pop.
Now based in New York, Faulkner is known for creating vivid, cinematic sonic landscapes and thriving in collaborative, in-room environments with artists. He’s constantly pushing for emotion, clarity, and intention at every stage of the process. Faulkner is currently in the studio with Lauryn Hill and actively connecting with new collaborators as his global career continues.
