Biography
Erik Madrid is one of the brightest stars of the next generation of mixing engineers. His meticulous workflow combines the best of the analog and digital worlds, while his passion for mixing and music technology has quickly gained the attention of the music industry’s elite.
The Bay Area raised engineer moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA and later landed an internship at Westlake Recording Studios in Hollywood. He went on to meet award-winning mixer Manny Marroquin, who took him under his wing and together they worked on over 1000 songs together at Larrabee Studios. Madrid has since gone on to work with artists across multiple genres of music.
To date, he has mixed marquee artists such as Kehlani, Khalid, A$AP Rocky, Jazmine Sullivan, Sabrina Carpenter, Jessie Murph, Sinead Harnett, Lauv, Sia, Alessia Cara, Zayn, Demi Lovato, Kyle, SAINt JHN, Alina Baraz, Max, Ruel, Ledisi, Kygo, Rich Brian, Lil Uzi Vert, Tinashe, Charlie Wilson, BJ the Chicago Kid, Natalie La Rose, Jackson Wang, Chika, Prince Royce, Blackalicious, and Goapele.
