Biography
Clarence Coffee, Jr., aka “Coffee” is a 3X Grammy Award and 2X Juno Award winning songwriter/producer/executive producer from Miami, Fl., now residing in London, UK.
Notably, Coffee and Dua Lipa co-wrote the majority of her latest album Future Nostalgia, which landed him a Grammy nomination for Album of The Year as a songwriter, and one Grammy win for Pop Album of the Year. His co-writing on Future Nostalgia includes the 8x platinum single “Levitating” which is 2nd longest running Billboard top 10 in history with a total of 40 weeks. “Levitating” was named the best-performing single of the year on Billboard Hot 100 for 2021, won Song of The Year in the 2022 iHeartRadio Music awards and reached #1 on both US mainstream Top 40 and Adult Contemporary Top 40. Coffee’s other works from Future Nostalgia include “Physical”, “Love Again”, “Future Nostalgia”, “If It Aint Me”, “That Kind of Woman”, “Not My Problem”, and “Un Dia”. “Un Dia (One Day)”by J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny & Tainy, featured on the deluxe album release, peaked at #1 on the Billboard Latin Air-Play Charts and has received Diamond sales status.
Coffee also co-wrote six songs, including hit single “Starstruck” on the latest Years & Years album Night Call, which reached #1 on the UK albums official charts.
In recent months, Coffee co-wrote Beyoncé’s song “Heated” from her latest album Renaissance.
Additionally, Coffee is also a founding and current member of the Production/Songwriting team The Monsters & Strangerz.
